The Holloman Incident:

Holloman Air Force Base, which was established in the year 1942 and is strategically located in the vast expanse of New Mexico, became the epicenter of an extraordinary and highly alleged event that took place in May of 1965. According to the insightful filmmaker James Fox, who is well-known for his investigative work in the realm of unidentified aerial phenomena, three unidentified flying objects made a remarkable landing at the base, leaving numerous witnesses utterly in awe of the incident. This astounding encounter quickly gained significant attention within both the media and the public due to the compelling potential evidence it provided regarding the existence of extraterrestrial life beyond our own planet.

Albert “Al” Emenegger, an accomplished filmmaker dedicated to exploring mysterious phenomena, was offered a unique opportunity to access the authentic and highly classified footage of the Holloman incident by United States Air Force officials. Emenegger firmly claimed that this intriguing footage vividly depicted alien visitors emerging from their extraordinary craft and engaging in interactions with the personnel of the US military. Despite being initially skeptical of such extraordinary claims, Emenegger was ultimately assured by high-ranking members of the Air Force that the footage was indeed genuine and trustworthy. However, much to his disappointment, he was only permitted to retain a mere eight seconds of this fascinating and elusive footage, leaving many questions unanswered.

The captivating story begins in the year 1973, when Robert Emenegger and Alan Sandler, two highly connected and influential Los Angeles businessmen, received a remarkable invitation to Norton Air Force Base, located in California. Their visit was centered around a discussion regarding the potential development of a groundbreaking documentary film focused on advanced research projects and various unexplained phenomena that captured the public's imagination.

Two military officials engaged in a detailed discussion, one of whom was the base’s head of the Air Force Office of Special Investigations, while the other was the audio-visual director, Paul Shartle. During their conversation, they explored a number of intriguing projects. Among these projects, one stood out in particular—one that involved the mysterious and compelling topic of UFOs. This particular initiative piqued the most interest among the officials, and as a result, plans were promptly launched to move forward with the production of a comprehensive film dedicated to the subject.

Emenegger and Sandler were informed about a fascinating film that had been captured at Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico, during the month of May in the year 1971. Then, in a significant national television broadcast that took place in October of 1988, Shartle would boldly declare that he had indeed seen the intriguing 16mm film, which purportedly showcased “three disc-shaped craft. One of the craft landed gracefully on the ground, while two of them ascended and went away into the vast sky.”

A door opened on the landed vehicle and three beings emerged. Shartle said, “They were human-size. They had an odd, gray complexion and a pronounced nose.

They wore tight fitting jump suits, [and] thin headdresses that appeared to be communication devices, and in their hands they held a ‘translator.’

A Holloman base commander and other Air Force officers went out to meet them”

Emenegger was led to believe quite convincingly that he would be granted access to the film for use in his highly anticipated documentary. He was even taken on a guided tour to Norton, where he was shown the designated landing site, along with the building in which the remarkable spaceship had been stored. Additionally, he was introduced to other structures, specifically Buildings 383 and 1382, where crucial meetings between Air Force personnel and the extraterrestrial visitors had been conducted over the next several fascinating days..

According to his reliable sources, the highly anticipated landing event had taken place precisely at 6 a.m. in the early morning hours.

The extraterrestrials were “doctors, professional types.” Their eyes had vertical slits like a cat’s and their mouths were thin and slitlike, with no chins.” All that Emenegger was told of what occurred in the meetings was a single stray “fact”: that the military people said they were monitoring signals from an alien group with which they were unfamiliar, and did their ET guests know anything about them? The ETs said no.

Emenegger’s military sources indicated that he would be granted access to an extensive collection of 3200 feet of film, which captured the remarkable moments surrounding the landing. However, at the very last minute, to everyone’s surprise, permission was unexpectedly withdrawn. Despite this setback, Emenegger and Sandler were strongly encouraged to present the Holloman episode not as a documented event but rather as a hypothetical scenario—a concept to ponder regarding what could occur or might potentially unfold in the future.

Emenegger made a trip to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, where the renowned Project Blue Book had been situated until its official closing in 1969. He sought to engage with Colonel George Weinbrenner, one of his trusted military contacts, to inquire about the events and developments that had transpired during the project’s operation and after its termination.

According to Emenegger’s detailed account, the tense exchange took place in the confines of Weinbrenner’s office. The colonel, visibly agitated, stood up, walked over to a chalkboard and loudly complained in a voice that resonated throughout the room., “That damn MIG 25! Here we’re so public with everything we have. But the Soviets have all kinds of things we don’t know about.

“We need to know more about the MIG 25!”

Moving to a bookshelf and continuing his monologue about the Russian jet fighter, he handed Emenegger a copy of J. Allen Hynek’s The UFO Experience (1972), with the author’s signature and dedication to Weinbrenner.

“It was like a scene from a Kafka play,”Emenegger would recall, inferring from the colonel’s distinctly odd behavior that he was subtly confirming the undeniable reality of the film, all the while ensuring that no one overhearing their conversation could possibly realize that this was exactly what he was doing.

The thought-provoking documentary film titled UFO’s Past, Present & Future, produced by Sandler Institutional Films, Inc., was officially released in the year 1974, accompanied by a thoughtfully crafted paperback book bearing the same intriguing title. Within the pages of the book, particularly in the “Future” section, the notable Holloman incident is detailed and recounted extensively over three pages, specifically on pages 127 to 129, providing readers with significant insights into this fascinating event.

Elsewhere, nestled within a dedicated section filled with intriguing photos and striking illustrations, there resides an artist’s conception depicting what one of the enigmatic Holloman entities may have looked like. However, it is important to note that this portrayal, along with other alien figures included in the collection, is described merely as being “based on eyewitness descriptions” provided by those who claim to have encountered these mysterious beings. (Emenegger, 1974).

Despite the numerous promises made over the years, the US government ultimately failed to release the full and unedited footage of the intriguing Holloman incident. Speculation among researchers and enthusiasts suggests that the Nixon Administration, eager to present itself as a strong force in the scientific field and bolster its image for the upcoming 1972 re-election campaign, initially allowed the footage to be utilized in Emenegger’s documentary. However, as the Watergate controversy began to deepen and create significant political turmoil, the government decided to pull back on its previous allowances, keeping the complete footage hidden away from public view and reinforcing the veil of secrecy surrounding such incidents.

The resulting documentary, “UFOs Past Present Future,” which was originally released in 1974, captivated a wide range of audiences with its in-depth exploration of unidentified flying objects and the mysteries surrounding them. After several updates and edits, the film was re-released a couple of times as “UFOS: It has Begun” in both 1976 and 1979, featuring the iconic Rod Serling as the insightful host. The documentary showcased a series of carefully crafted reenactments and detailed illustrations, all aiming to effectively tell the gripping story of the Holloman incident. However, it is the elusive eight seconds of footage that have fueled extensive speculation and intense interest among enthusiasts. Some claim that the object seen within these fleeting seconds is one of the UFOs, dramatically capturing the crucial moment of its descent towards the military base, leaving many questions lingering in the minds of viewers.

To this day, the complete and unedited video footage of the Holloman incident, which includes the alleged sighting of extraterrestrial entities, remains unreleased to the public. The government's decision to withhold this critical evidence only serves to amplify the enduring mystery and ongoing controversy surrounding this significant event. However, independent researchers and devoted UFO enthusiasts tirelessly continue their quest for the truth behind what transpired. Notably, the YouTube channel “Here Suddenly” has conducted impressive research and thorough analysis of the available details, successfully shedding new light on the intricacies of the Holloman incident.
